desire

Topic: Alligator river story
The situation Abigal and Gregory are in is a common one. There are always times when two people in love can’t always be together. The time apart is what makes relationships grow stronger. In this case it is a little different. They have never been together and dying to get into one another arms.
The problem with being able to see each other is that there is a river with countless alligators between the two of them. The bridge had been washed away and it would be several weeks before it could be replaced. Abigal was determined to get across the bridge and would be willing to do almost anything to get across it. She had no way of getting to the next bridge and crossing that way because she couldn’t get back in time for work the next day. She took matters into her own hands and asked sinbad, a riverboat captin to take her across. The only way he would agree to doing so, if she had sexual intercourse with him.
Abigal at first turned him down, and only when she realized there was no other way of gitting across she agreed to the circumstances. On the way over I wonder what was going through her mind and how was she going to tell Gregory how about agreeing to doing what she had to do. When she told Gregory the scrafices she made to get over there he had every intention of getting mad in any way he pleased. If the girl I loved agreed to doing that I would tell her that she would have been better off just staying on the other side of the river. That was the whole purpose of her going over there was to be with him, and in my opinion she ruined anything that they might have had. At least from my point of view it did. Sinbad had no right to do what he did to Gregory or Abigal. If that had been me I might of tought sinbad a lesson or two about taking advantage of people
Alligators I give the number one rating to because they were the only characters that did what they were supposed to do
Gregory I put second on my list because he got mad just like I would have
Sinbad should be more towards the end of my list and the reason why is he took advantage of Abigal.
Abigal I put next to last because she did the most stupidest thing by agreeing to sinbads offer.
I put slug last because I dont know where he even came from and why did he beat gregory up.

society today

topic:Human rights vs majority rule
Individuals should be viewed as equal and should have all the same rights. Minority groups are nothing more than a conglomeration on individuals. Groups cannot exist without individuals and it is the individuals that make up groups that should be given preference if and when the two ideas clash. When one person interferes with the rights of another that person is in the wrong and should be stopped. When someone is a member of a majority or a minority they are still an individual with the same rights as any other person. Thus, the equality of rights between individuals transcends and takes precedence over the rights of a social group.

No matter where you live in the United States, you can get involved in a battle for human rights protection, the birthright of every American- gay and strait. As an employee, you have many rights, including the right not to be discriminated against or harassed. How does this apply in classrooms dealing with children? How would you feel about having your kids taught by a homosexual teacher? If there is a debate between human rights vs. majority rule homosexual teachers is the perfect issue. Are children safe in the presence of homosexual teachers, or are they in danger of sexual abuse that may, in fact, lead them into the homosexual lifestyle? The momentous changes in American attitudes towards sexual orientation are giving homosexuals unprecented access to the nation’s children. Where do you think child molesters would hang out? They don’t just hang around playgrounds. Wouldn’t it make a lot more since to apply for a job that deals with children? Should homosexuals see society’s disapproval of adult-child sex as a transgression, rather than the aduld-child sex itself? Should talk of molestation enrage homosexual activist, that elect pictures that pro-family groups paint over the entire homosexual community with too broad of a brush. Looking at this issue to me falls under stereotypes. I just don’t believe that a homosexual teacher is not fit for teaching young students.

We live in a society concerned both about human rights and about the will of the majority. What happens when these concerns clash? We cant always make the majority happy because its what they want, but rather what is the best for the American public.
